the 4 Cylinder and Pure Stock divisions....the Midwest

at Red River Co-op Speedway's newly constructed Dirt
Kart track. Come out and see the newest racing
division turning laps along with our 4 Cylinder, Pure
Stock, and Midwest Modified divisions. Racing
starts at 7:30pm.

Race Season Delayed by Flooding Date Posted: April 27th, 2011
Race season is almost upon us and we know our race fans, drivers and staff are all eager to get out to the track! Our anticipated season opener of May 5th will be delayed due to flood conditions and colder then normal temperatures.
We are hopeful to open the front gates the last week of May or first week of June to get our season underway.
We have built a temporary dike along the back stretch to keep the anticipated flood water out of the inside to the track as this is where the flood waters breeched in 2009. The flood forecast is still predicting possible 2009 levels with the crest of the Red River coming towards the end of the month.

For the months of June, July, and August, 4 cylinders, Pure Stocks, Mid West Modifieds, and Dirt Karts will be tearing up the track!
Yes, we are racing Dirt Karts on our new 1/8 mile, banked track that will be constructed inside our existing track. The new Dirt Kart class will feature a very liberal rules package for the first year, as participation and safety will be the name of the game.
As numbers dictate, we will generate classes as the season progresses. Our starting point for engines will be the 5.5 Honda or 5 hp Briggs and Stratton Flathead or Animal. There will be no restrictor plates and the tire rule will be open. Safety and fun will be the order of the day in this class!
We are currently looking for an individual to help co-ordinate this new class, preferably someone who has been involved with dirt kart racing before. We are open to all suggestions right now and if you would like to get involved in what could quite possibly be a 50 car field, please email me at
